Gebaut von: Thomas Gaida (2002) - Opus 1
A new organ was built in 2002 by Thomas Gaida for the parish church of Wustweiler. However, it contains many older parts. The history goes back to 1900. On January 26, 1900, Mamert Hock signed a contract for the construction of a two-manual organ with 22 stops for the Garnisonskirche in Saarlouis. As far as we know, it was the first organ that Hock built independently. The instrument was put into use in 1901. In 1906 it was transferred to new building of the Evangelische Kirche in Saarlouis. The organ was rebuilt in a modified form by Lotar Hintz in the years 1950-1952, and in 1982 the action was electrified by Hugo Mayer. In 1999 the organ was sold to the parish of Wustweiler, where it was used by Gaida in the construction of the new organ.
