- In 1837 Walcker built an organ for the Sankt Michaelskirche in Schwäbisch Hall. It was inaugurated on September 24, 1837. The organ was expanded by Walcker in 1857, and enlarged in 1927-1928. The work in 1927 was done according to plans by Arnold Strebel, organist of the Stiftskirche in Stuttgart. The organ was rebuilt with electro-pneumatic action, new windchests, and thirteen new registers. The total number of stops was now 47. The organ case had to be made wider to accommodate everything. In the years after 1946, several romantic registers were replaced by more baroque ones. Walcker added an Oboe 8' to the third manual in 1970.
- The organ was dismantled in 1979 and replaced by a new organ by the Tzschöckel company. Tzschöckel used a large part of the Walcker registers and the old organ case, which was restored to its pre-1927 condition. Consultants were Manfred Götz and Helmut Schick. Most of Walcker's 34 remaining stops have been reused.
