Het orgel bevat ouder materiaal: Pipes uit 1906 van Hook & Hastings
Vanaf januari 1951 bouwde Aeolian-Skinner een nieuw orgel voor de Mother Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston. Het orgel werd ontworpen door Lawrence Phelps. In september 1952 kon het in gebruik worden genomen. Enkele registers werden overgenomen uit het oude orgel van de kerk, een werk van Hook & Hastings uit 1906 (opus 2107), uitgebreid in 1929.
