Fusion company of the Aeolian Pipe Organ Company and the Ernest M. Skinner Company. Led by G. Donald Harrison, the company became one the most important American organ builders of the twentieth century. Characteristic of the company were organs that had elements from all style periods, but were given a typical American timbre. After Harrison's death in 1956, the artistic value of the organs declined. At the end of 1966 Donald M. Gillett became president of the company. The firm was dissolved in 1973.
