- The Protestant Church in Germersheim was built in 1782 as a Reformierte Kirche. The organ from the old church was not transferred, but was sold to Schwegenheim. Philipp and Franz Stumm built a new organ, which was completed in 1783. It was an organ with twelve stops on the manual and three on the pedal. Church and organ were dedicated on October 24, 1784.
- After the French Revolution Germersheim was taken over by revolutionaries for a long time. In 1794 the churches were closed. The Reformierte Kirche was converted into a hospital and later as a warehouse. Most of the interior of the church had been removed. Only remnants of the organ remained in the church.
- The Lutherische Kirche was the first church in Germersheim to be reopened. A second-hand organ was bought for this church in Erfurt. From 1818 the Reformierte Kirche was used for the united Protestant Church in the Palatinate, a combination of the Reformierte and the Evangelisch-Lutherische Kirche.
- The organ was unplayable in 1821, and was sold to Ottersheim in 1830. A new organ was built by Louis Voit.
