The organ contains older material: Organ case from 1740 by Johann Adam Schmahl
The Stadtkirche in Neuenbürg burned down in 1783, causing the loss of Johannes Weinmar's organ from 1776. After the church was rebuilt, an organ was built by Johann Jakob Weinmar. He used an organ case from an organ by Johann Adam Schmahl, acquired from Fellbach. In 1897 the Walcker company built a new organ in the old case with sixteen registers. The current organ was built in 1969-1971 by Ernest Muhleisen. It was dedicated in August 1971.
