Ernest Muhleisen (Echterdingen, 26 maart 1897 - strasbourg, 10 december 1981) was an important twentieth-century organ builder from Alsace. He worked for the company Roethinger from 1921. In 1943 he settled as an independent organ builder in Strasbourg, together with Alfred Kern (1910-1989), his brother-in-law. In 1953 Kern continued independently. After Muhleisen's death in 1981, the company was continued under the same name by his grandson Georges Walther.
