- Frans Andersson built a new organ for Väddö Kyrka in 1860. This instrument was transferred to Fårö Kyrka on Gotland in 1875 by the firm Åkerman & Lund. They added an octave coupler and a sub-octave coupler to the organ.
- In 1970 the organ was restored by Dag Edholm and Robert Gustavsson. Much of the woodwork and wooden pipes were infested with woodworm. These parts have been renewed or restored. All mechanisms have been restored and the keytoppings of the manual have been renewed. The octave couplers from 1875 have been removed. In 1972 the old warehouse bellows were replaced by a new lådbälg, a kind of box bellows. The reeds of the trumpet were also renewed in 1972.
- The instrument was overhauled by Johannes Künkel in 1984.
