- Summerall Chapel werd gebouwd op het complex van The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, in 1936-1938. Er werd door Reuter een orgel met 34 registers geplaatst, dat in de loop der tijd is omgebouwd en uitgebreid. Sinds 1965 had het vier manualen en pedaal met in totaal 64 registers. Twintig jaar later was het niet meer bespeelbaar en werd het buiten gebruik gesteld.
- De orgelbouwers van de firma Cornell Zimmer uit North Carolina zijn in 2014 begonnen met de wederopbouw van het orgel, waarbij zoveel mogelijk pijpen zijn hergebruikt. Het orgel is in 2017 opgeleverd.
