  • In 2006 it was decided to have a new organ built for the Pauluskirche in Berlin-Zehlendorf. The old organ of the church, built by Walcker in 1970, was sold to Russia. In the course of the project, it was decided to have two organs built. One in French romantic style, and one in Baroque style. Karl Schuke was commissioned to build the romantic organ, Rowan West the baroque organ.
  • The Baroque organ, which was given the name 'Bach Organ', was designed with an instrument by Silbermann from the time of Bach as inspiration. The instrument is tuned in a 'Wohltemperierte Temperatur'. The pitch is modern: 440 Hz, but two stops are tuned a semitone lower so that they can be used as continuo registers in combination with baroque instruments.
