The organ contains older material: Organ case from 1873 by E.F. Walcker & Cie.
In 1873, the Walcker firm built a new organ for the Temple Protestante in Munster in Alsace. The organ was rebuilt in 1927 (as opus 10) and in 1954 by the Schwenkedel company. Schwenkedel expanded it in 1954 with a Positif de Dos, which did not match the old organ case. The action was also reconstructed, using electro-pneumatics, and a new console was installed. In the years 1984-1985 the Muhleisen company rebuilt the organ in the style of Walcker. The positive was removed. Much of the existing pipework has been reused. On June 2, 1985 the organ could be put back into use. In 2002 Muhleisen installed new pewter prospect pipes.
