In 1971 voltooide de firma Rieger een nieuw hoofdorgel voor de abdijkerk Mehrerau bij Bregenz. Adviseur bij de bouw was Günther Fetz. De orgelkas is ontworpen door Hans Purin. Op 3 juli 1971 werd het orgel ingewijd.
