The organ contains older material: Prospect from ca. 1725 by Konrad Brandenstein
The organ of the abbey church in Rohr in Niederbayern was initially built by Konrad Brandenstein around 1725. The instrument itself was lost in the course of time, but the organ case has been preserved. In 1955 Leopold Nenninger built a new three manual organ in this case. This instrument was dismantled in 2005. Under direction of Gerhard Siegl, the Metzler company subsequently built a new two-manual organ in the historic organ cases. This organ was dedicated on June 4, 2006.
