- In the years 1847-1852, the Stiehr-Mockers firm built a new organ for the parish church of Saint-Maurice in Orschwiller. It was inaugurated on September 22, 1852, the name day of Saint-Maurice. The organ was rebuilt by Rinckenbach in 1899. The positive was emptied, and this work was placed in a swell box at the backside of the organ. The front pipes were requisitioned in 1917. These were replaced in 1924 by Franz Kriess, who also installed a wind blower.
- In 1976 Alfred Kern carried out a restoration. On September 4, 1985, a fire broke out in the church building, which resulted in the loss of the case of the positive, and the rest of the organ suffered extensive damage. In 1989 Muhleisen restored the work, reconstructing the positive. The organ has been restored to its original condition on the basis of the original specifications from 1847.
