The organ contains older material: Organ case and pedal stops from 1793 by Johann Michael Engers
In 1793 Johann Engers completed an organ for the former Stiftskirche in Bacharach. However, the organ was no success and was replaced in 1826 by a new instrument from the Stumm brothers. The case and front of the old organ have been preserved and three pedal registers have been adopted. The instrument was restored in 1974-1975 by the Oberlinger company.
