In 1967, Flentrop restored the main organ of the cathedral in Évora, Portugal. The church also contained a cabinet organ, built in 1762 by Caetano Oldovino. It was in very poor condition. After an overhaul by Flentrop, it was purchased by Dr. Maarten Vente, who placed it in his house in Utrecht. In 1984 it was transferred by Flentrop to the Meadows Museum of Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
