- In the Reformed Church of Vollenhove, Apollonius Bosch from Amsterdam built an instrument with two manuals and a pulldown pedal. In 1720 Franz Caspar Schnitger worked on the organ. However, the pedal remained as it was. In 1808 Heinrich Hermann Freytag carried out a number of mainly technical repairs. The oldest known stop list dates from him. In 1860 Jan van Loo from Zwolle made an independent pedal in two new towers on both sides, and he changed the specification on a few points. Later several stops were replaced, among others by Gerrit van Druten in 1894 (Rugwerk) and by A.L. Krom from Utrecht in 1915. Between 1840 and 1892 the Vox Humana 8' disappeared from the Hoofdwerk.
- At the beginning of the seventies of the twentieth century, the instrument was restored by Van Vulpen under the advice of Lambert Erné, succeeded by his son Hans Erné after his death. Although the intention was to reconstruct the situation of 1860, this was not fully implemented. A some stops have been made new, and the original pitch (which was also maintained by Schnitger in any case) has been restored. The Bourdon 16' of the main work was rebuilt to a Bourdon 8', and the Roerfluit was removed. The Viola di Gamba 8' and Salicionaal 8' of the Rugwerk were also replaced by a Nasard 3' and a Sesquialter. On October 15, 1977 the restored instrument was put into use again with a concert by Hans Erné.
- The register tractors of the rugwerk are arranged in the backside of the case of the rugwerk.
