- Arp Schnitger built in 1696 a new organ in the Dutch Reformed Church of Pieterburen with eight stops. The instrument was expanded in 1701 with an empty positive case by Allart Meyer. Radeker installed an attached pedal in 1704. The organ was repaired by Hinsz in 1772.
- The Dutch Reformed Church of Mensingeweer bought the Schnitger organ in 1901, but left the empty case of the positive and the balustrade in Pieterburen. A new organ was installed in Pieterburen by Friedrich Wilhelm Leichel. In 1922 a fire broke out in the church, but only the carvings on the left side of the organ were damaged. Mense Ruiter carried out major repairs in 1946. The company Mense Ruiter restored the organ in three phases. In 1996 the wind supply was improved and the Trumpet was restored. In 1999 the Cello 8' and the keyboard were restored. New conductors have also been installed. Finally, the rest of the instrument was completely restored in 2006.
- The church building has not been used for church services for several years.
