1997 Hugo Mayer Orgelbau  new organ in old case

In 1825-1826 the brothers Franz Heinrich and Karl Stumm built an organ for the Protestant Church in Hochspeyer. It had eight manual registers and two pedal registers. Behind Stumm's front, a 22-stop organ with pneumatic action and cone chests was built by Walcker in 1904. It was slightly modified in 1955. In 1996-1997, the Hugo Mayer company built a new organ behind the front with mechanical slider chests. Much of Walcker's pipe work has been reused. It was inaugurated on May 18, 1997 with a concert by Gero Kaleschke.
