The Sankt Jakobuskirche in Stein in St. Gallen was dedicated in 1929. In 1930 the company Gebr. Späth built an organ with twenty-five registers, including five transmissions. In 1948 and 1967 the same company carried out revisions in which the organ was tuned higher and the pipework of the super octave couplers of the second manual was removed. In 2004, Späth carried out a restoration, which restored the original situation.
