Demolished (1945)

  • Emil and Bruno Jehmlich built an organ with twenty stops for Karl August Lingner (1861-1916) in 1898 for his villa in the Südvorstadt. After he bought a very large villa, Villa Stockhausen, an organ for the music salon of this villa was also built in 1909. It was a four-manual organ, of which the upper manual was a grand piano with a full 88-key range. The organ had 50 registers, including two transmissions. A few years later the Viola and Vox Humana of the second manual were moved to the Wintergarten as a Fernwerk. Lingner died on June 5, 1916 in Berlin.
  • After Lingner's death, the organ was frequently used for concerts. In 1945, Russian soldiers moved into the building, after which the organ was dismantled.
