Region:Vlaanderen

Description nr.: 2078402.

Built by: Pieter Van Peteghem (1765)
Demolished? (ca. 1796?)

Pieter Van Peteghem built an organ for the Friars Minors (or Recolet Brothers) in Oudenaarde in 1765. During construction he had to reuse the still usable material from the previous organ, including a lot of metal pipework. It is not known whether the instrument had an (attached) pedal. It must have been demolished during the French period, when the monastery was closed in 1796. The old building remained standing for a long time, with various purposes, and was demolished in 1968.
