- The Monastery of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mary in Nederbrakel was founded in 1825 on Kasteelstraat. The complex grew over time to include a number of school buildings, and in 1930 a new chapel was built. The Stevens company built an organ for this chapel. The instrument was rebuilt by Aerts & Castrel in 1971. It was equipped with mechanical action and slider chests. The renewed organ was dedicated on October 24, 1971.
- The school has been called Viso Cor Mariae since 1991. The monastery building from 1930-1931 was demolished between 2009 and 2013. The chapel remained standing, but is now used as the Municipal Medical-Historical Museum.
