  • Christoph Ludwig Goll built a small organ in 1883 for the village church in Lonsingen, municipality of Sankt Johann. It was an organ with five stops on the manual and a Subbaß on the pedal. This Subbaß had only twelve pipes. A special coupler called 'Octaviant' had been contructed for the notes c°-d', which played the registers of the manual an octave lower. After the construction of a new church, the Auferstehungskirche, the old building was demolished in 1972 and the organ was purchased by Joachim Wilhelmy and placed in his home.
  • Around 1980, the new owner moved to a new house. Over the following years, he expanded the organ with a second manual with six stops and a new independent pedal with three ranks. The Mixtur was adjusted so that only the Octav 2' choir sounded when the stopr was half drawn. The second manual was placed in its own case and had its own wind supply.
  • In 2016, the organ was sold to the Technical University in Darmstadt. It was decided to place it in the Schlosskirche in the center of the city. Goll's original work has been restored to its original state, except for the Octaviant. The pedal has been rebuilt on a new mechanical slider chest. The Cantus Firmus 2' has been adapted to a Flauta Regina 4'. The second manual is placed now in the balustrade as a Rückpositiv. The wind supply has been renewed, now for the entire organ. The console was also adapted: everything was manufactured in Goll's style. Leonhard Völlm was the consultantfor the work. The work was carried out by the organ builders Braun and Mühleisen. The work was completed in 2020, but due to the corona pandemic, the organ was eventually inaugurated on the new location on July 16 and 17, 2022.
