- In 1892 George Fincham and Arthur Hobday completed a concert organ in the great hall of the Town Hall in Saint Kilda, Victoria. It was set up in two identical organ cases, on either side of the stage. Choir and Swell were set up in the left case, Great and Pedal in the right.
- The organ was restored and expanded by George Fincham & Sons in 1961. The original cases were removed. The organ was equipped with a new mobile console. The original pneumatic action was electrified.
- On Sunday, April 7, 1991, the instrument was destroyed by a raging fire, which reduced the large concert hall to ashes.
