Complete description of the selected organ
Birmenstorf, Die Schweiz / La Suisse (Aargau) - Katholische Pfarrkirche Sankt Leodegar
Municipal: Birmenstorf
Address: Chileweg 1, 5413, Birmenstorf

Description nr.: 2076786.

Built by: Orgelbau Kuhn AG (1936)
Replaced (1998)

  • The Sankt Leodegarkirche in Birmenstorf was dedicated in 1935. Until 1935 there was one joint church for Catholic and Protestant church services. This old church has been demolished except for the choir. The Kuhn company built a two-manual organ in 1936. It was built with electric action and so-called 'Hängeventillladen'. Stephan Koller was consultant during the construction.
  • Because the organ started to show more and more problems, it was decided to replace it. In 1998 a completely new organ by Metzler was dedicated.
