In 1875, George Jardine built an organ for the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia, held in 1876. After the exhibition, the instrument was sold to the First Congregational Church in Ironton, Ohio. It is a two-manual organ with 26 registers. In 1978 it was put up for sale. It was purchased for Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in New Haven, Connecticut. After a restoration by Brunner & Heller in the years 1982-1985, it was dedicated in New Haven on October 18, 1985. Charles Kriegbaum played the inauguration concert. The organ is still largely original. Two missing reeds have been reconstructed.
