  • Under the advice of Ernst Schiess and Wilhelm Schmid, Kuhn Orgelbau built a new organ for the Reformierte Kirche in Kirchberg in the canton of Bern in 1959. The organ was placed in the case that was present in the church. The original organ was built in 1771 by Samson Scherrer with sixteen registers on two manuals and pedal. This organ was replaced in 1876 by a mechanical cone chest organ with fourteen registers by Max Klingler. The case of the positive was emptied except for the front pipes. Klingler converted the instrument to pneumatics in 1897 and expanded it with seven stops. The case of the positive was now placed on top of the main case. The original situation was reconstructed when Kuhn built the organ.
  • The organ was restored by Thomas Wälti in 2007. He changed the Schalmei 4' of the positive into a Schalmei 8' from c°. The Nachthorn 2' was replaced by a Sesquialtera. The Rückpositiv finally received a tremulant.
