Until 1991, Ascension Lutheran Church had an older organ, the origin of which is unknown. It was a two-manual organ with seventeen registers. The console was in the front of the church and was supplied by Marshall Organ Service of Charlotte. The instrument was replaced in 1991 by a new organ from Zimmer & Sons.
