1967 Albert Discepoli  maintenance/reparations

  • M.P. Möller Company built a new organ for the First United Methodist Church in Charlotte in 1967. It replaced a Hook & Hastings organ from 1928. In addition to the three manual divisions, there are two floating divisions (Positive and Antiphonal) that do not have their own keyboard. The organ was installed in the church by Albert Discepoli. It was inaugurated on September 10, 1967 with a concert by George Markey.
  • Over time, not much has changed on the organ. The Choir Barpfeife has swapped places with the Krummhorn from Positive. And the Quintaton 16' transmission on the pedal has been replaced by a transmission from the Swell Rohr Gedeckt 16'.
