In 1899, Farrand & Votey built the first organ for the First Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 1964 a new organ was built in the old case by the Schlicker Organ Company. The organ was inaugurated on February 16, 1964 with a concert by Henry Bridges. In 1970 the Positiv and Principal 16' on the pedal were installed.
