The Nicolai-Kirche in Diepholz was built in the years 1802-1806. In 1809 Johann Christoph Heeren built a new organ for the church. The organ from the previous church was sold to Brockum. In October 1976, a fire broke out in the church, severely damaging the interior. After the restoration of the church, Karl Schuke built a new organ. The organ case from 1809 could be restored and has been used for the new instrument.
