In 1931 the Gebrüder Rieger built a new organ for the Sankt Nikolauskirche in Kiel. It replaced an organ from 1872, which had been taken over from the Stadtkirche in Heide in 1900. The new organ with thirty stops was dedicated on October 24, 1931. In 1967 the organ was demolished in connection with a restoration of the church interior and plans for a new organ.
