Hervannan Kirkko was built in 1978-1979. The building was designed by Reima and Raili Pietilä. The Kangasala firm built an organ for the church with 21 registers. The front was designed by Reima Pietilä. On November 1, 1979 the organ was inaugurated with a concert by Matti Rauhala.
