  • The Sankt Ägidiuskirche in Wörth was built in 1961-1963. The building replaced an older church, which was badly damaged in World War II. Hugo Wehr built an organ for the new church in 1965 with twenty stops.
  • The organ history of the old church begins with the construction of an organ in 1767 by Ferdinand Stieffell and Johann Ignaz Seuffert. This organ had ten stops. In 1794 it was heavily damaged by war actions. In 1809 a new organ was built in the existing organ case by Johann Michael Stiehr. This was replaced in 1925-1926 by a new pneumatic organ with thirteen stops by Adolf Poppe & Sohn. The Poppe organ was dedicated on Palm Sunday, March 28, 1926. It was lost during the war in 1945. After restoration of the church building, Paul Ott built a new two-manual organ with fifteen registers. The old church was demolished in 1961, and the Ott organ was also demolished.
