In 1785 Michael Stiehr built an organ with eighteen stops for the Mariä-Himmelfahrt-Kirche in Maximiliansau. The organ had one manual and an indepentent pedal. In 1858 this instrument was replaced by a Walcker organ with seventeen registers with with cone chests. Stiehr's organ case was preserved. The organ was rebuilt and modified after 1858. The current organ was built in 1988-1989 by Vleugels Orgelmanufactur. Stiehr's case was expanded with a chair organ, designed in the same style. The new organ was dedicated on March 25, 1989. In 2004 Vleugels carried out a renovation.
