Ferdinand Stemmer built a new organ for the Reformierte Kirche in Zumikon in 1988-1989. The design of the instrument was made by Bernhardt Edskes in collaboration with the architect Willi Egli. On March 4, 1989 the organ was inaugurated with various organ performances during the afternoon and evening. Organists who contributed to this were Ruth Koenig, Heinz Wehrle, Peter Liebmann, Jan Jongepier, Peter Reichert, Kolbein Haga, Rudolf Meyer and trumpeter Hector Herzig.
