- After the destruction of the old parish church of Gendt in World War II, a completely new church was built in the years 1950-1952. The church was located at Nijmeegsestraat 2 in the village. The Vermeulen company from Alkmaar built a two-manual organ for the church, which was dedicated at the same time as the building. Consultant was Dr. P.J. de Bruyne. Anton Ponten jr. played the instrument when it was dedicated. In 1960 the church was expanded with a tower.
- Since January 1st, 2015, the church was closed for church services. Construction of apartments on the site of the church started in 2019, only the facade with tower remained to remind the church. The organ was sold to the parish of Bezrzecze in northwestern Poland. The instrument was dismantled by volunteers from Poland on January 14, 2019. There was also an electronic Heyligers organ in the church, which was also sold to Poland.
