- The old church of Floda was struck by lightning in the nineteenth century. Axel Herman Hägg and Adolf Kjellström designed a large new church in neo-Gothic style. Parts of the previous church have been used in the construction. The Baroque-style burial chapel has been preserved in its entirety. The company Åkerman & Lund built an organ for the new church. Consultant was Emil Sjögren, organist of the Johannes Kyrka in Stockholm. The organ is placed high on a gallery in the southern transept.
- In 1963 the firm of Setterquist & Son carried out a restoration. The disposition has been modified. On the first manual the Dolce 8' was changed into a Kvinta 2 2/3', and the Cornett into a Mixtur. On the second manual, Setterquist replaced the Basetthorn 8' and the Violin 8' with a Principal 4' and a Waldflöjt 2'. On the pedal board, the Violoncelle 8' and the Basun 16' were replaced by a Koralbas 4' and a Mixtur 3 chor.
- The organ was restored in 2006 by Grönlunds Orgelbyggeri. The original stop list has been reconstructed. The instrument was also voiced again in the style of Åkerman & Lund's original work.
