The 'new' organ of the Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Welkenraedt was installed here somewhere around 1960-1970. The old organ was taken out of use by removing the console. On the location of this console, a temporary organ was installed. This organ once was manufactured by Klais Orgelbau just to serve as temporary organ in churches, where the main organ was in restoration or under construction. But the instrument stayed in Welkenraedt for a longer time, at least until 1994.
