1935 Etablissements E.-A. Roethinger  restoration and enlargement

  • The organ of the Église Saint-Laurent in Wintzenheim was built in 1860-1861 by the company Merklin-Schütze. The organ was examined on January 31, 1861. It has twenty stops on two manuals and pedal. Originally the Récit did not have the lowest octave (C-B).
  • In 1917, the prospect pipes were removed. They have been replaced in 1935 by Edmond-Alexandre Roethinger. He also added the lowest octave to the Récit, except for the Voix Céleste. The organ has been preserved in this condition. Maintenance works have been carried out by Alfred and later Daniel Kern.
