  • Ralph Blakely built a new organ for Steele Creek Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North-Carolina, that was dedicated on December 3rd, 1978. David Craighead played the dedication concert on the same day, and a second recital on December 4. The organ has three manuals and pedal with 28 stops. The third manual has a small compass of 33 keys (e°-c'''). This manual playes the Cornet 5 ranks situated on top of the organ. The key action was mechanical, the stop action electronic.
  • The organ has been renovated in 1996. At this time the key action has been replaced by electric action, and a free-standing console was installed.
