The organ in the Église Saint-Martin of Besançon was built in 1853 by Claude-Ignace Callinet. The original instrument had only one manual and pedal, with eight stops. It was enlarged with a second manual in 1900 by Henri Didier. The organ then had fourteen stops. During a rebuilt by Jules Bossier in 1930 he modified the stop list. In 1965 Michel Jouve reconstructed the organ, using the organ case of Callinet and most of the historic ranks.
