In 1981, Schoenstein built a two-manual organ for the Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, 4420 Geary Boulevard in San Francisco, California. The instrument was transferred by Hupalo & Repasky at the end of 2018 to Calvary Episcopal Church in Santa Cruz, California. It was inaugurated on March 22, 2019 with a concert by Bruce Neswick, organist at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Portland, Oregon.
