In 1929, the company Kimball installed a new organ in the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church of Lake Forest, Illinois. The instrument served until 1972, when a new organ was installed in the church by Harrison & Harrison. The Kimball organ was donated by the congregation to Grace United Methodist Church in Lake Bluff. It was relocated by Frank J. Sauter, with some minor alterations. In April 1974, the organ could be inaugurated in Lake Bluff with a concert by Robert Huhn (organ) and Charles Smith (piano). Sauter maintained the organ hereafter. He made some additions in 1988 and 1989.
