  • In 1900-1901, a large organ was built for the Elder Hall of the University of Adelaide by J.E. Dood. The instrument was inaugurated on July 20, 1901. It had 32 stops on three manuals. In 1934 the organ was rebuilt and enlarged by Dodd tot 51 stops. The original pneumatic action was electrificated by this occasion.
  • In 1977-1978 the Elder Hall was renovated and refurbished. The old organ had to be removed, and was replaced in 1979 by a new Casavant organ. The instrument was restored by J.E. Dodd & Sons Gunstar Organ Works and expanded to 69 stops. It was relocated to Saint Mark's Cathedral in Port Pirie. On September 2nd, 1979, the organ was dedicated with a concert by James Govenlock and David Swale.
