  • One of the largest organs ever built by Hook & Hastings was the 1906 opus 2107, constructed for the main hall of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts. The organ had four manuals and pedal with 70 stops. The Echo and Solo division were both played from the fourth manual.
  • The organ was enlarged in 1929 by the same company. In 1951 a new organ was built by Aeolian-Skinner, but they re-used a number of ranks from the Hook & Hastings in the new instrument.
  • The specification given is the original from 1906.
