In 1973, the Späth organ from 1925 of the Pauluskirche in Trier was dismantled, and a smaller organ was installed in the choir of the church by Hugo Mayer. A new main organ was never built anymore. The Mayer organ was renovated in 1997 by Reinhart Tzschöckel. The church was part of a number of parishes in Trier that were merged together. When in 2016 stones came falling down, the church was closed for services after a last service on November 5, 2017. The organ was sold to the parish of Aach, and could be installed in the church of Sankt Hubertus in 2018. The instrument was transferred by Hubert Fasen Orgelbau. The Quinte of the second manual was replaced by a Salicional 8'. On December 2nd, 2018, the organ was dedicated in Aach.
