In the chapel of the Jesuite cloister in Pau, a new organ was dedicated on November 17, 1861. The instrument was constructed by the company Joseph Merklin & Cie. The instrument had 22 stops, including nine transmissions. In 1936, two stops were added by Roethinger during a restoration: Clairon 4' and Plein Jeu. In 1955, a revision was carried out by Pesce & Fils, who replaced the Plein Jeu of 1936 by a new one. The organ is entirely located in a swell box, except the prospect pipes of the Montre 8'.
