Built by: Verschueren Orgelbouw (1950) - opus 207
Year | Builder | Opus | Activity | 1950 | Verschueren Orgelbouw | 207 | new organ | 1989 | Volunteers | transfer/relocate |
- The company Verschueren built their opus 207 for the Saint Elisabeth chapel of the Midwifery School in Heerlen-Hooghees. Consultant was Pierre Zeyen. Nico Zeyen jr. played the deidication concert on January 29, 1950. Originally a Kromhoorn 8' was present on Swell, which was replaced by an Oboe 8' in the course of time. The school was later placed under the Stichting Moederschapszorg (Maternity Care Foundation) in Heerlen. After the Hooghees location was closed, the chapel was demolished.
- The organ was then dismantled by volunteers and rebuilt in the Church of St. Michael in Schaesberg-Eikske, De Wendelstraat 16. It was dedicated here on September 24, 1989. An organ of the Mignon van Verschueren type had been present in the church of Het Eikske since 1962, a unit organ with two ranks. The church building was built in 1955-1956.
- St. Michael's Church was closed for church services on May 26, 2019. The organ was donated to the parish of Roczyny, near the town of Andrychów in Poland, with which Landgraaf is twinned. It has been dismantled in September 202. The organ has been dedicated in Andrychów on October 24, 2021.
